About the Artist

As an autodidact, Felix Pruner has continuously and thoroughly studied fellow painters. From the very beginning, his distinctive, fascinating, unmistakable, and unique artistic signature emerged—one that consistently shaped and defined all phases of his creative work. Both the creative process and the final result can be described as a choreography in space.

Born in Munich in 1946, Felix Pruner spent nearly ten years in the 1970s writing and developing computer programs for the former family corporation Siemens, alongside his studies in Munich (Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science). These analytical approaches had a decisive influence on his later artistic work. A freelance painter since 1978, he is a member of the Professional Association of Visual Artists. His works were exhibited, among others, in 1983 at the Haus der Kunst and in 1984 at the Grand Palais in Paris on the occasion of its 100th anniversary. The support association founded in 2014 and dissolved in 2025 organized several smaller exhibitions as well as a VR (Virtual Reality) retrospective in 2016. A large part of the existing PRUNER body of work is currently managed by the two companies PRUNER ART GmbH & Co. KG and PRUNER ONE GmbH & Co. KG, both based in Markt Schwaben near Munich.
